Behaviour Management

Our teachers are the leaders of learning in their classrooms, demonstrating a supportive, assertive and leadership role in behaviour management, attempting to help children better understand their behaviour, the consequences of their actions and its impact on others.

At the beginning of each academic year, each teacher agrees a set of class rules and consequences with their students. When the agreed rules are not adhered to by a student or group, the teacher consistenty applies the consequences.

The teachers will:

  1. model positive and expected behaviours, routines and rules
  2. explains the way that everyone is expected to behave in each situation
  3. consistently applies the agreed rules and consequences
  4. engages and builds positive working relationships with individuals and groups
  5. encourages and rewards positive behaviours.
